The defining feature of the Bore Chair lies in its stool-like form with a low backrest. This design subtly divides space,
guides the line of sight, and creates a place where rest can gently flow.
The chair reinterprets the spirit of the traditional folding screen (byeongpung) as a contemporary structure for repose.
A thick seat, low backrest, and wide flat side panels offer more than simple seating—providing a sense of ease that extends beyond the act of sitting.
The mother-of-pearl inlay that adorns the surface shifts with light, infusing a quiet structure with a living presence.
